The City of Ashland has an opening for a part-time School Crossing Guard near Reagan Elementary in the Police Division, reporting to Chief Dave Lay.

Job Responsibilities:

• Controls traffic at designated crossings during morning and afternoon elementary commute times

• Escorts children in order to ensure safe crossing

• Controls behavior of children in order to ensure compliance with traffic regulations

We're looking for someone who:

• Is "Dedicated to Service"

• Has earned a high school diploma or a GED

• Will work in the various weather conditions found year round in Ohio

• Is willing and able to learn and follow City policies and procedures

• Can develop and maintain working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public

• Successfully complete a criminal background check with fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $21.00 per DAY

• Pension through OPERS with the City contributing an additional 14% and employees contributing 10% of wages
